In order to make the devotees aware about the divinity of God, Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS) organized seven days of Shrimad Bhagwat Katha from 23rd to 29th December 2019 at Vadodara, Gujarat. Orator of Katha was Sadhvi Padmahasta Bharti Ji who is a preacher disciple of His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji (Founder of DJJS). The Katha commenced with the warmth of the prayer and devotion in the hearts at the lotus feet of Lord Krishna. A series of holy songs bring out the divine saga through the eyes of audience in the form of tears of affection for their lord. Sadhvi Ji said that the Bhagavad Gita is a word made from two words, ‘Bhagavad’ means ‘God’ and ‘Gita’ mean ‘Song’, which together combines and makes it as ‘The Song of God’. The spiritual discourse of Shrimad Bhagavad Gita was delivered in the middle of the battle field by Lord Krishna. Bhagwat Gita shows path to the lost, answer to the confused and wisdom to all. It is considered to be one of the greatest spiritual books the world has ever known. The primary purpose of the Bhagavad- Gita is to illuminate for all of humanity the realization of the true nature of divinity; for the highest spiritual conception and the greatest material perfection is to attain love of God.

In his 125 years of life, Sri Krishna made an indelible impression upon mankind’s collective consciousness—re-educating the world about devotion and dharma as well as the ultimate reality. His life was a model for people in days past, the modern world and surely for those in ages to come. Seeing Krishna as a perfect personification of divinity, to this day hundreds of millions of people pray to him, chant his names, meditate on his form and try to put his teachings into practice. His life has inspired a treasure house of poetry, music, painting, sculpture and other fine arts.

Sadhvi Ji explained that Lord Krishna’s teachings are suitable for everyone. He didn’t come just for the sake of a particular section of society. He showed everyone—even prostitutes, robbers and murderers—the path toward spiritual progress. He urges us to live according to our true dharma, to remain steadfast in it, and thus advance in life toward the ultimate goal.

Sadhvi Ji further elaborated that throughout his life, Lord Krishna had to face different crises that arose like waves, one after the other. Even then, not once was his countenance clouded by sorrow. He faced every difficulty under the sun, but there was no place for sorrow in Sri Krishna’s presence. He was the embodiment of bliss. In his company everyone rejoiced, forgetting all else. In his presence they tasted the bliss of the Self. The audience was extremely indebted to DJJS for their selfless efforts in awakening the masses and make sure that this world is a better place to live in.
